UGA will allow fans to purchase alcohol at more sporting events.
The University of Georgia Athletic Association is expanding its liquor sales pilot program to baseball and softball.

The school first launched liquor sales at Stegeman Coliseum for men’s and women’s basketball games.
The school’s athletic association said the pilot program was put in place to help improve the fan experience by expanding options at Stegman Coliseum’s concession stands.
UGA says it will follow the Southeastern Conference alcohol policy.
Georgia Athletics says they will also strictly follow their alcohol liability guidelines and fan management protocols.
The guidelines include:
- Alcoholic beverages are only available to fans aged 21 and over.
- Each transaction requires a valid government-issued ID.
- Identity checks are compulsory at all points of sale.
- Limit of two drinks per transaction, per person.
- Sales begin as soon as the doors open. Doors open 1 hour before the advertised start time for each baseball and softball home game.
- Sales end at designated times as determined by the SEC’s Gaming Management Policy on Alcohol Sales. These times are the end of the start of the 7th inning for baseball and the end of the start of the 5th for softball.
- Fans are not allowed to leave the premises with alcoholic beverages.
- All drinks will be served in cups.
- Aramark, the official concession partner of UGAAA, will manage all operations related to the sale of alcohol at events.
- Aramark employees will undergo extensive training through an internal training program. All employees must be certified in an accredited alcohol service program (TEAM or TIPS).
- Each event will have an alcohol compliance supervisor (Aramark standard) on site.
Georgia was the 11th school in the Southeastern Conference to allow the sale of alcohol at sports venues.
