Remarkable ancient Canyon del Oro Kiko Romero — an Arizona baseball signee — hit .407 in the NJCAA World Series with six homers and 11 RBI to lead Central Arizona to the NJCAA World Series National Championship on June 4.
Romero, named NJCAA World Series Tournament MVP, Most Outstanding Offensive Player and All-Tournament Team Member, earns Male Athlete of the Month honors from Jet Sports Training for his accomplishments.
Romero hit .467 with 12 home runs in the ACE playoffs.
“He’s probably been our best player for three straight years,” the ACC head coach said. Andy Gilic told the Arizona Republic. “He’s just such a good player, he’s got a high baseball IQ. His hitting gets all the attention, but I think he can play five different positions on the field. And he’s just a really good Baseball player.
