UCI HERO Dubai Hatta, the only International Cycling Union (UCI) mountain bike race in the Arabian Peninsula, the Dubai Muscle Show and the Dubai Moonlight Classic golf tournament of the Ladies European Tour topped a successful list of 32 sporting events taking place in Dubai this week, including the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Twenty20 Men’s World Cup, where two of cricket’s oldest enemies, Australia and England, face off on Saturday at the Dubai International Stadium.
Five of those 32 events are international – the fifth being the American Swimming Coaches Association’s premier Middle Eastern Swimming Coaches Conference, held at the Hamdan Sports Complex.

The second edition of the HERO Dubai Hatta, which takes place on October 29 at the Hatta MTB Trail Center, will feature riders from over 40 countries, including the biggest stars in the sport like current world champions Ramona Forchini and Leonardo Paez , and Ariane LÃ¼thi, Martin Stosek, Kristian Hynek, Katazina Sosna, Andreas Seewald and Urs Huber.

The 9th Sheikha Hind Women’s Sports Tournament will also kick off this week with the bowling competition at the Dubai Bowling Center on October 26. Badminton competition will then begin at the Al Nasr club from October 27, continuing through October 31, while the CrossFit Championship will take place on October 29 at Max & Aegle’s in Nad Al Sheba.
