Baseball
Archbishop Wood and La Salle look like the teams to beat in the Philadelphia Catholic League while Council Rock North and Pennsbury look like the powerhouses in the Suburban One League Patriot Division.
Soft ball
Defending PIAA champion North Penn continues to roll after winning 12 straight. Outstanding junior Julia Shearer, now a pitcher for the Knights, was superb at the mound and home plate where she hit nearly .800.
