Fishburne Military School to Begin Fall Athletic Training Camps

The Fishburne Military School Caissons football team will return to Anderson Field on Monday as training camp begins for the 2021-2022 school year.

Thirty-five cadets will show up this weekend for football camp and 55 more cadets will show up for soccer and cross country training camps.

The Fishburne Military School Caissons football team will again be led by coach Martin Goodnough and the season schedule is currently posted at Fishburne’s first regular-season football game is slated for August 21 when the Caissons host the team from St. Michael the Archange (Fredericksburg).

The returning 2021 Caissons team captains are Chase Altis (junior, Stuarts Draft), Ryan Manning (senior, Charlottesville) and John Sawn (senior, Mechanicsville).

The Fishburne Military School is a member of the Virginia Independent Schools Athletics Association and strictly adheres to all VISAA, CDC, and VDH guidelines for COVID prevention.

Under current guidelines, FMS invites parents and spectators to attend all sporting events.

Although Fishburne Military School requires masks to be worn indoors at all times (regardless of vaccination status), athletes and spectators at outdoor sporting events are currently not required to be masked. Social distancing for outdoor events is always strongly encouraged.
