Ferris fans must wear masks at sporting events


BIG RAPIDS – In an effort to help slow the continued spread of COVID-19, Ferris State University Athletics fans and supporters are reminded that masks are currently required for all indoor indoor sporting events at home.

In accordance with current campus policy, masks are still required and must be worn at all times on FSU campus, including at all upcoming men’s and women’s home basketball contests as well as hockey games this winter. .

As part of FSU’s ongoing fan protocols in response to the ongoing virus, fans are required to wear a mask for the duration of the event or risk being asked to leave or be kicked out of the event. installation.

Fans are urged to help comply with the requirements in an effort to both combat the spread and ensure that all spectators continue to be permitted to home sports competitions while ensuring a safe experience for those in attendance as well only for all participants, including students. -athletes and staff.

Additional signs will be posted and the department will distribute masks to anyone who attends without a mask at future contests, in addition to the mask policy included on all e-ticket purchases. Fans in attendance will also be asked to sign a form at the entrance to the facility stating that they will do their part to comply with the mask requirement.

Ferris State is set to host Saginaw Valley State on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 8, in basketball action with the Bulldog hockey team set to play its first New Year’s Eve home games Jan. 14-15 against St. Thomas (Minn.) .
